Visa Change Application – Retirement-Based Criteria

Important Notice:
Permission to stay is granted for a period not exceeding 90 days. To be eligible to apply for a visa change, applicants must have at least 15 days remaining on their current permitted stay.
Applications submitted beyond this period will not be accepted.

Required Documents

1. Application Form
   
   

   • Form TM.86: For foreign nationals currently holding a Tourist Visa or Transit Visa
     
     

   • Form TM.87: For foreign nationals without a visa, entering under Phor.15, Phor.30, or Phor.90
     
     

2. Passport Copy
   
   

   • Including the personal information page, visa stamp, entry stamp, extension of stay stamp (if applicable), and the TM.6 card
     
     

3. Photograph
   
   

   • One recent 4 x 6 cm or 2-inch color photo (taken within the last 6 months)
     
     

4. Application Fee
   
   

   • 2,000 Baht
     
     

5. Financial Statements
   
   

   • 5.1 Certificate of deposit balance from a bank in Thailand
     
     

   • 5.2 Copy of a fixed deposit or savings account showing a balance of not less than 800,000 Baht (must include a page showing the account holder's name and current balance; the original bankbook must be presented)
     
     

   • 5.3 Proof of funds transferred from abroad
     
     

6. Certificate from Embassy or Consulate
   
   

   • Confirming that the applicant receives a monthly pension of no less than 65,000 Baht
     
     

7. Combined Financial Evidence
   
   

   • The total amount from both bank deposits (item 5) and monthly income (item 6) for one year must be not less than 800,000 Baht
